Getting Back to My Hole

Thursday, March 29th, 2007

Finished na rin ang duty=)  Submitted my RLE yesterday at Fabella - horrendous traffic going there.  Then, attended LM’s graduation at Le Pav.  Congrats to my little big sister!  Wow, tapos na kaming magkakapatid;p  It’s such a nice feeling.  We can be booted out by our parents any time now.  Hahaha… Going back to LM’s grad,  okay ang ayos sa Le Pav but I got bored waiting for LM to go on stage.  Even more when she went down.  I think it had something to do with hunger pains. Why not?! Heller!  Anyway, we went around them… Phew! Straight to an eat-all-you-can itech.   Ever reliable Saisaki ang pinuntahan namin.  No less than the blue plate please.  We got those stuffed toys for the graduates.  Ang cute;p  I got the duck.  LM and Kiko got pigs.  Roj, the dog. Don, the monkey.  And Mama, the cow.  I wonder why they didn’t offer Papa a toy.  Pigging out is such a family thing;p  Di na ko ganun kasanay (owwws).    Pero carry;p  Key is not to eat stuff that’s too heavy at the start para sulit.  Roj and Don are power eaters. What is it with parents?  Baka dahil bunso nga si LM…  Anyway, LM’s done with college so cheers to her!

After chowtime, back to work.  Made up for my one absence.  Lost one day’s work for losing my voice.  It took a week of antibiotics to get the colds out of my system.  Then just this Monday, I got hit again. Buti na lang may boses pa ko. The company nurse said it was probably allergic rhinitis. True enough, it stopped after three days.  It got stopped by an allergic reaction to the seafood we ate at Saisaki.  This time the cold just got congested that I can’t breathe properly.  Had to down water so much I felt bloated by it.  Weird, never had it happen before…  Maybe it started because of the dustballs in my jungle room.  I swear I’ve neglected that room since I went back to school=P  Time to clean up my act and actually change the bedsheets… Yes, you could imagine what a mess it is…  I think I just made a dent this evening - woohoo!  I’ll probably finish by Sunday, mwahaha!  Still have to tag along with Tin to a wedding in Antipolo later… kumusta sa gimik? Sige, better get back to the hole before a real snake comes out of it;p

Finals… Check!

Finals is over!!!  What a relief=) Alangan man ang tingin ko sa mga exams, I’m pretty confident that I’ll pass NCM 102.  O my God!  Malapit na kong mag- 4th year!  I don’t know if I can still spend it bangag.  With the way things are going at work,  I don’t wanna resign yet.  Baka nga mag-LOA na ko kung papayagan… let’s wait and see.  After Tuesday, hospital duty is done as well.  Makakapagpahinga na rin.  Like my bum sis LM, pa-download2 na lang ng MP3s sa Limewire hehehe…  In fact I’ve started this whole relaxation bit by going to Miramonte with Team Tart last night.  We’ve been planning since last month. Hmm, that strawberry flavored vodka sure has a way of getting into our heads…  Pati si Kara, sapak-tulog although I think being awake for more than 24 hours is more than likely to push anyone to bed.  Buti na lang, nag-nap muna ko before driving over with my tuna carbonara. At ilang tao kami?  Well, there was Alex and his wife + 4 hyperactive kids, Boss Tart and Sylvy, James & Colleen (mga ampon ng Team Tart), Alvin & Sepong (mga higanteng bonjing na nag-aagawan sa videoke - ala naman sa tono, mwahahaha), Joey, Itchy, Kara and moi.  As usual, hataw sa kainan ang lahat but the food was good for 30 people so good luck naman sa amin. I’m surprised they still had room for the carbonara… I didn’t.  We only had the place for 15 hours but it was fun. Love the warm water;p  Since night swimming no risk of sunburn. In between singing my outdated love songs, binging on Reese’s  peanut butter cups and swimming, I finally got to know my team more.  It’s ironic that I find out more about them when I’m already with another group.  That’s what you get sleeping during lunch time instead of bonding.  Sana mag-outing ulit before I start summer duty. I could get some rest and fix the rest of my life that’s been put on hold.  Take my room - it’s a jungle.  I’ll never win a cleanliness campaign.  LM will be redecorating - God bless her!  Time to put our twenty-year old shelves and cabinets away.  Question is, where do I put my junk?  Sentimentality has a way of messily piling up.

Prime Time

Tuesday, March 6th, 2007

We’ve just concluded a 5-day training for Prime Collections.  It’s just like Core - just less contacts, more payment programs and higher stats (which aren’t impossible to reach — yun ang sabi nila;p).   Clearly  the people here are more focused.  Hopefully I can blend in.  I’m such a lazy brat -  kunwari pang sipag-sipagan hehehe…  Ala akong masabi sa mga sup, they’re very supportive about my juggling school and work.  They even suggested I work at the new HSBC office once it’s set up. Manila 2 will be near UP Diliman.  People will be moving to a temporary Ortigas office first then to Manila 2. Yes, resignation is still on my mind.  As I said before, I’m just giving this a whirl. Probably when I get my debts paid up or when they kick me out for my thickheadedness.  Well, whichever comes first.  I’ve never been one to use a straw aka…  Regarding Prime training, no sweat ito.  Our trainor was Boom, my tranchemate=)  Diyosa talaga ang lola… We had fun swapping ghost/spirit stories.  There were only 5 of us so it was pretty cozy.  Arnie, Janis/Janu, May(leen), Rivian and I.   Turns out  Arnie and May both have the eye easily noticing that there was one hovering around SAMO Vonn. Hmm, kakaiba… I don’t have the eye - won’t pretend to have one either.  Hehehe, masyado akong takutin.  After two days of lecture/activities, we had 3 days of half calls/ half ISD with Archie.  I just discovered that Danny Stickels resigned already.  Kaya pala lumipat si Vonn. Jeez… I was looking forward to working with Danny.  Can’t help but admire the fellow - he’s a pro when it comes to collecting.  Never lets those pompous cardmembers get away with bloody murder on the phone.  And he’s just plain nice.  Sayang talaga… Wonder what the personal issue was…  Going back to ISD, it was pretty straightforward and easy to get.  It’s amazing how hard this kind of simple can get when you’re actually on the floor.  Here I go again with my will issue.  Hopefully, AMRose and the rest of the team will help me with the flexibility bit.  It’s kinda hard changing when you’re stressed out but it just might be possible with Prime’s atmosphere.
Segway lang, I just went back to Tito Jun (my dentist) yesterday since I’ve been having this toothache last Monday. Mukhang kelangan ko nang ipapasta yung isang molar ko… my nerves were on the edge… Iba talaga kapag ngipin ang sumakit.  Buong katawan apektado.  It looks like Tito Jun had his work cut out for him at tutok marino ang operasyon niya sa kin.  The bands on my brackets were removed.  Prophylaxis was done.  What is 7 months of not seeing him?   Instead of just 1, there were 3 teeth that needed to be covered. It was time for ice cream.  Nevermind the diet… I thought the toothache was gone but it became worse. Mefenamic 500mg wasnt enough.  I had to wait a few more hours to take Dolfenal which was effective but the wait took away precious sleep time.  Almost didnt go to work because brushing my teeth was painful.   Took Alaxan when I got to the office after enduring an hour of ISD.   I swear, it’s only during tooth/gumaches when I allow myself a lot of cold drinks and food. This kind of routine is really getting tiresome. What else?  Oh, I just watched Music & Lyrics with my siblings last Sunday.  We rarely watch a movie together without our parents so it was kinda special that way -everyone grown up and all.  The movie itself was okay - not too much going for it except for its top caliber stars.  Can’t get over the hip shaking move of Hugh Grant.  hehehe… not so bad for a has-been popstar;p.  I can’t wait to watch Sam and Tony in You Got Me.  That seems more interesting than M&L.   Galing kasi ng tambalan nila dati sa You Are The One.  Hehehe, jologs na kung jologs… I like Tagalog movies now more than ever.  Sayang nga at di ko napanood ang Zaturnah nung MMF last Dec. Super busy kasi.  Tingnan ko na lang kung mapapanood ko pa itong You Got Me.   I guess, that’s that.  It’s time to either sleep or start reviewing for Finals.  Almost all the subjects will have a comprehensive coverage… Arrgh!
