while drying my hair

Wednesday, May 31st, 2006

Just took a bath.  Came home from Fatima where (drumroll please!) I finally got a class sked after 3 attempts (gasp!).  Either I’m stupid or they’re inefficient… probably both hehehe…  Anyway, can’t resist a good scrub after going through Manila heat and traffic.  Can’t help staring at the darn reg card - Dang! I’m going thru the whole caboodle again… I’m computing work hours and praying that I didnt get a written CA so I could do flex.  Sheesh, what is planning mania?  Usually, I can’t sleep thinking about money…  Now, while I’m drying my hair, I ponder on what I’m gonna do.  I’ll probably write my sked on this blog.  Just one of those dorky things I do, but hey, only my best buds read this anyway hehehe… So here goes nothing. If the good Lord allows flex, this is how my sked is gonna look like.  Monday: 8am-5pm Duty; 10pm-3am Work.  Tuesday: 8am-5pm Duty. Wednesday: 12-4am Work; 8am-5pm Duty. Thursday: 12-9am Work; 3:30-7:30pm Lecture. Friday: 12-9am Work; 2-8pm Lecture. Saturday: 12-9am Work 8:30pm-5:30am Work again=P. Sunday: REST!  We’ll see how it works out probably by next week. Uunahan ko na lang ang pag-file ng flex just in case a CA/ ax falls down on my neck….

Computer Drama

Saturday, May 20th, 2006

I just wanted to share the roller coaster ride my pc has given me.   There have been several hints from friends and family to have this pc sent back, because of the constant restarts - overheating issues, nic problems, vira, video card reseating, etc. Baka matigas lang ang ulo ko at nag-iilusyon ako na kaya ko ‘tong ayusin.  Hay, ewan ko ba!  Based on the problems above, I have reinstalled windows thrice (DSL prob for most of the time), reseated cables and cards.  Sometimes, it works instantly. Sometimes, it just needs a couple of hours to refresh itself.  As far as I can tell, the longest I’ve stayed online was 3 days. Give or take a week of not t/s.  Then, I go back at it. Hmm, the beginnings of a disastrous love affair.  But still quite an interesting one.  I haven’t given up on this baby yet.  Nakakatawa- of all the things to write about…  Plain lucky just to have it online today.  Just when I was calling PLDT to report it.  Hay, ayaw mapahiya ng pc ko - so ako ang napahiya, jeez…  Hopefully, it’s smooth-sailing from here.   I’ll probably reinstall later because of another virus that my bro brought in from his mem card.   That darn Kodak store put one in it.  Beware to those having their mem cards checked out at Kodak.  Their systems might have bugs!  XP reinstall here we go!  Buti na lang naka-partition ang hdd ko.  Kung hindi, manggagaliiti ako sa pag-retrieve ng files.   It’s quite a good policy to have your personal files/ programs kept in a separate partition from the OS.

Hmm, I’ll write about my summer activities next time…  Who knows, maybe in a few hours…  If the system’s still up and I’m still up hehehe;p
